Peta headed to Commonwealths after a great prep and went head to head with an NA lifter. The performance went down to the final deadlift, Peta putting on a fantastic performance to come second with support of coach Kelly Mann.

Mel Green

Squat: 147.5 kgs

Mel competed at Commonwealths 2022 off the back of interesting prep, tearing her lat right before the prep into the competition and still coming out managing a +6kg total PR with coach Steven Day’s support. Mell achieved a 8/9 performance and narrowly missing her 3rd deadlift for the win.

Natalie Bartolo

Squat: 112.5 kgs
Bench: 65 kgs
Deadlift: 137.5 kgs
Total: 315 kgs

Nat ended Commonwealths with Solid performance after a solid prep with coach Kelly Mann. She went 9/9 performance and hit a PR total to finish the day.

Lenex Lu

Squat: 232.5 kgs
Bench: 142.5 kgs
Deadlift: 262.5 kgs
Total: 637.5 kgs

Lenex Lu competed at 2022 Commonwealth championships as an u74 kg junior representative for team Australia.

He had an incredible performance and narrowly missed 280kg deadlift at lockout for the final pull for the win. With the support of coach Danny Le, Lenex finished a great performance with second place.

Tom Chaplin

Off the back of Nationals prep Tom headed to New Zealand to go head to head with a Kiwi competitor. Tom’s performance was phenomenal taking his first international gold and making coach Kelly Mann proud.

Mel Green

Squat: 137.5 kgs

Deadlift: 197.5 kgs
Total: 420 kgs

Mel endured her most difficult prep to date, often not knowing how training would be leading into each session, showing huge amounts of resilience to keep showing up and never giving up, finishing with 2nd in each discipline and 2nd on total the M1 u69kg category.

Jason Raby

Deadlift: 250 kgs
Total: 627.5 kgs

Jason had a long and productive prep since his previous prep in April, where he came in having dealt with a recent hernia injury. With minimal hiccups to his training in the lead up to Masters Worlds, Jason hit a 2.5kg total PR, which had been standing for two years.

Adriana Pence

Deadlift: 160 kgs
Total: 355 kgs

Adriana had a brilliant prep,however coming in light meant that she was unable to achieve the numbers she was hoping for on the day. Her performance still earned her M1 U52 world champion & now shes hungry for more.

Bobby Tan

Squat: 247.5 kgs
Bench: 190 kgs
Deadlift: 265 kgs
Total: 702.5 kgs

Bobby had a fantastic training run into Junior worlds with coach Kelly Mann. His performance on the platform earned him bench gold, benching 25kg more than silver, as well as second place over all.
